Nice to know ya'
This is may seem a little strange at first but- I'm a seasoned home cook and would be chef. Spending one Kentucky summer in a restaurant kitchen trying to get out 40 or so meals at the same time is like losing a bargain with the devil. To say that getting up at 3 or so in the morning is easier than that is probably a moot point. You don't do it cuz it's easy- you do it because you love it and I was a DJ first. So now I cook in two places behind the mike AND in the kitchen. Few years back I was on the Food Network when I lived outside of Atlanta. Maybe you'd like to see what it's like to combine food and Rock N' Roll?

American Idol Auditions in Louisville..
Monday 07-21-2008 8:24am ET

Thousands of hopefuls have lined the streets outside Freedom Hall to get a chance to audition for the next season of ``American Idol.'' Some came from other states and began lining up at midnight, eight hours before the doors opened. The stars-to-be were waiting in line Sunday to get a wristband that allows them into auditions.Twenty-one-year-old Ross Hammond drove from Michigan for his third try at getting on the show. An ``American Idol'' film crew was looking for someone in line who could sing ``My Old Kentucky Home.'' They found Lexie Kemper, a University of Kentucky graduate and former Miss Teen Kentucky in 1999. She says she was auditioning mostly for fun.
“I'm here proudly repping the Lexington music scene,” Matthew Ward, 20, said while taking a break from playing his guitar and singing The Temptations' My Girl for camera crews with the crowd. “It's dying and I'm here to help.”
Louisville is one of eight cities hosting auditions for the show.
